The weekend of Tanner's blessing, my sweet Aunt threw Tanner a shower for some of our family, friends and neighbors. She totally surprised me with the theme of "All Star". She had been to Utah the week before and got "J-Dawg's" and brought them back for the shower. Now, those of you thinking "J-Dawg's? That sounds familiar!" Yes, it is the place I had cater Danny's graduation party and our favorite red shack in Provo! We were so excited! (At least I was!) When my aunt Star told me she had brought them back, she was screaming and jumping up and down because she was so excited for it!
{My aunt made these banners for the shower and gave them to me to keep! This is now the theme I am going to do Tanner's room when we get our own place!}

{So cute with all the "J-Dawg" fixings and All Star theme!}
{J-Dawg's has "special sauce" that is SOOO good, my aunt made it "Special Tanner Sauce" for the shower!!! I love her}
{My mom with Tanner (or the All Star I should say)}
{Both my Grandma's aka: Grandma GG and Mama Vera. They are obviously Tanner's Great Grandma's}
{My cute Aunt Star who threw the shower (accompanied with J-Dawgs) and who also made all our cute name-tag buttons}
{My good friends from High School, Terra and Amber (Patterson)}
{The cute banner that, again, my wonderful Aunt made and I got to keep! Can I tell you how excited I am to eventually do his room!}
{J-Dawg's enjoyed by all!}
{Danny's cousins from Greeley came down for the weekend and have a little boy, Rodney that is about 9 months younger than Brooke. They were good little iPod movie buddies during the shower!}
{The baby blanket my mom made for Tanner. She modeled it after the one she made me when I was born and also the one she made for Brookie too!}
{Danny's cousins from Greeley. We see Mark, Katie & Rodney all the time (on the far right). But we haven't seen Mandy, Mike, Aunt Melva and her husband Mark for almost 5 years at our Wedding reception. It was so fun and nice for all of them to drive down and spend the weekend with us! We're excited we live here now and get to see them more often!}
Tanner was blessed at our church by Dan. My Dad, both grandparents DeWayne and Lew, Uncle Blake, Cousin Mark, our dear friend Nate from Utah, Bishop Gallacher and President Hammond (my old bishop from growing up) were all in the circle as well. Dan gave a beautiful blessing. After the blessing, I was holding Tanner and just admiring my little boy and the strongest impression came over me that he is going to be our peacemaker in our family. I could just feel it.
{Getting Tanner dressed and ready for church. It's a lot easier to get a boy ready for his blessing than a girl!}
{My cute little temple worker!}
{I got Tanner's blessing outfit at a little Children Boutique in Utah. I had found it online, but absolutely fell in love with it in the store}
{Our dear friends, Nate and Ellen (left) drove Saturday morning from Utah and stayed with us Saturday night and then headed back home to Utah literally right after the blessing on Sunday. We were so excited they made such a huge effort to be here for family! We are so blessed to have such great friends! Danny's cousins from Greeley are on the right. We're so excited to live so much closer to them now!}
{Everyone who came for Tanner's blessing minus Nate and Ellen. We have such great family and friends! Sadly, none of Danny's family could make their schedules work to join us. We sure missed them!}
{One happy Mama with my pin/button and all!!}
{Our cute little new family!}
{My mom and I with Tanner when we got home for the family dinner!}
{After things died down and most the guests had headed home, Tanner gave my grandparents a treat and smiled at them. He had just started to crack some smiles and coo's that weekend!}
