Mothers Day 2011

Mother's Day was spent in Utah. It was the Sunday after the funeral for Wendy. It was quite emotional day because of the past events from the week before. However, it was nice to spend it with the family and be around each other. I had told Dan that we could do our celebrations and normal gift exchanges when we got back to Denver. (This was also to help ease the guilt of him forgetting and asking me to get up with the kids Sunday morning! ;)

After church, the siblings gave Mom a picture that Wendy had planned on getting for them when they returned from the mission.

Needless to say she loved it...

So did Dad...
it came with mixed emotions of loving the picture and knowing Wendy had the idea for this gift... It comes from Mothers Without Borders and has an incredible story behind it.

That evening, a father/daughter from their home ward came over and sang "God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again". It was very moving and touching.

After which, we all just hung around and such. Brooke started wrestling with Grandpa and soon all the other cousins joined in.

Almost every time we are all together, there are at least 1 if not multiple YouTube videos exchanged. This one particularly was Kid Histories.

Tanner was happy just to be in the center of all the attention!
How was your Mother's Day?!
