Thanksgiving

Well, I currently do not have pictures to go with as neighbor has turned their internet off and we can't bum it off right now... So I'm on my sister-in-laws computer.

Thanksgiving was fun. It was a good break from normal routine life. Danny went and played ultimate frisbee with his brothers and Brookie and I watched the Macy's Parade. I think its the first parade I've actually watched start to finish. We kept trying to show Brookie Santa at the end, but she was too distracted by our movements to get her to look at the TV. lol... My favorite part was Andy Williams singing. I LOVE Andy Williams. Growing up we would put on his Christmas album and decorate the tree. Danny hadn't ever heard him before so its fun to listen to him on the radio and be like "Who's this?" and he wouldn't know and I DID! Such a change of times... ;)

We then got ready and made my DELICIOUS "homemade gourmet" salad that I created BY MYSELF w/o anyone or any recipe. It was a hit, I felt good. ;) We did the traditional grateful game after dinner and ate GREAT pie in GREAT company. Brookie was a wonderful little girl and took her nap upstairs as we sat down to dinner! So we got to eat in peace. However, when she woke up, Brookie did have some issues with potatoes and turkey. I have this little food grinder than will turn normal food into mashed up baby consistancy food. So I put some potatoes in, turkey and a little gravy. She gave me funny looks when she tried it, and a couple gags and chills. So then I tried normal plain mashed potatoes and she gaged so HARD, she threw up her entire dinner. I stuck to her normal squash and applesauce after that. However, when it was my turn for the grateful game, Brookie took the container of squash and dumped it all over my lap and the floor (luckily there was a napkin at my feet and it mostly landed on that.) It was quite eventful.

Then Friday morning, I made belgin waffles, buttermilk syrup and all the fixins for my family and friends at the house. It was WONDERFUL! Everything turned out perfect and very yummy. I just now have to really get down to business in loosing the rest of my weight. Danny did have to work Friday, so we did our shopping on Saturday. Got a CUTE outift for Brooke from Gymboree for like $7.00! It would have normally been like $60! Love deals! We have most of our Christmas shopping done now and just have to get a couple little things.

CAN I SAY THAT I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
