So I FINALLY got the time to go through ALL our Christmas pictures (and finally got them all from my mom) and decided to post some of the MANY pictures we took the two weeks I was in Denver.
I went a week early to Denver to spend some more time with my family as this was our last Christmas together. Aaron leaves on his mission next fall and then Collin will leave just before Aaron gets back. Therefore, it will be about 4 years minimum before we are all together again for the Holidays. Danny later joined us when he drove out after all his finals were done.
That week that I was there, my mom was lucky enough to get tickets to the play "Jersey Boys" for cheap b/c they couldn't go that night. It was so nice to go out with just my parents and our seats were AMAZING! BOX SEATS!!! TONS OF LEG ROOM! Anyways, we went downtown to the play and my sister babysat Brookie. The play was fun for the music but if it were a movie, it would have been rated R. Earlier that day we heard there were several "F-Bombs" and to be prepared. So within the first couple MINUTES it was used like 4 times. So I decided to count how many times they used it. The total count came to I think 36? It was nuts. But my parents and I decided we were all done with the "Behind the music" or "Behind the Actor" kinda shows. All they are, are drugs, sex, drinking, anger, betrayal...etc. ALMOST ALL OF THEM are that way. Anyways, here are some pictures of us at the show...

I tried to keep the pictures in chronilogical order, but it didn't quite work. This was Brookie in all our wrapping mess. She woke up on Christmas morning and we opened her stocking...then she needed to go take a nap. So the rest of my family and I all did our presents. When Brookie woke up a couple hours later, we had her presents all set aside. She really wasn't into unwrapping, on BANGING! It was pretty cute.
We also did a "Cousin Craft Day" while we were there. We made saying boards for Christmas decorations that said "Naughty or Nice? Depends...who's askin?" and also "Is it too late to get on the nice list?" They turned out all so cute and we all had a ball... especially once the boys went and did last minute shopping and Danny took Brooke with him!!!

For those who don't know... I have a dog at home named Max. We got him when Haley was almost 2, she's now 12. He's such a GOOD dog. For the longest time though, he would NOT go anywhere NEAR Brooke. He was always afraid of things smaller than him, but would run with the biggest of dogs. However, he warmed up to Brooke this last trip and we caught them cuddling and playing. This was before Brooke was really mobile, so I'm anxious to see what happens this next trip this weekend.

As a tradition, my mom ALWAYS makes the BEST homemade bread along with homemade Honey Butter. (Seriously, I have not met ANY other type of bread, homemade or store bought, that I like more. My mom can TOTALLY beat ANYONE'S bread...NO MATTER WHAT!) Well, my mom was on one of her MANY batches she made and Brookie was so intrigued with it, we put her on the counter. She loved helping Grandma.

Brooke was also very intrigued with the tree. As seen here, she would try to eat the tree and lights, but it would stick her lips and she would get all scrunged up face. It was pretty funny..she never did stop trying to eat it... (BTW, the nightgown she is wearing was one of mine when I was her age! PRECIOUS!)

One thing we did SEVERAL times was play (& teach) Black Jack! We had a couple Vegas nights and we did both play with chips and also candy (whatever you won, you got to eat). It was a lot of fun. We even got some Margarita mix and made virgin Margaritas! (Thanks Laura and Scott for teaching us and turning us on to such a fun game!) Oh and the betting strategy we learned, really works... It's pretty amazing...

When I was there in November, we decided to put up the Christmas tree, well we never got around to decorating it, so they all waited til I got there. So for an ENTIRE month they had a bare tree, I also got the LOVELY job of fluffing the tree...
This is Grandma GG with Brookie. We were at the Cheesecake Factory (oh, YUMMY!) and Grandma GG was feeding Brooke Banana Cream Cheesecake and got a little crazy with the whipping cream!
This is my dad, Brookie's Grandpa, he is famous for "coochy-ing" our cheeks. The tradition moves on... Brookie LOVES her Grandpa and is ALWAYS SO intrigued with him...except for when he wears a baseball hat.

Brookie's first visit with Santa! She did GREAT! Not a wince or a whine. She LOVED it. We'll see what next year brings.

Christmas Eve...

This nightgown Brooke is wearing is actually one that I wore my first Christmas! It was so flipping cute on her! I love this picture too... 3 generations!

She loves to "ham" it up when she has an audience. She'll let you know too if you're not paying attention too...

Opening our cousin gifts! I got a real cute apron!

This is Christmas morning... Brooke was so overwhelmed with all her presents and toys. It was pretty fun showing her all of them.
This was Brooke's outfit on Christmas Day. The shirt says "Mom & Dad's best present ever!" How true that is...
Brooke also got an exersaucer from her Grandparents for Christmas. We had to take off some of the toys it came with because it was just too overwhelming and overstimulating! She loves it now though... (Just shortly after Danny and Uncle Aaron put this together, Danny actually came down with the flu.)
This present was from Brooke's Grandma & Grandpa GG. A little toy car. She LOVES the thing!
She also got several pairs of shoes and outfits and stuffed animals, but she LOVED this book that has pictures of all different kinds of animals...
So sorry it took me so long to post these! Well that pretty much sums up our 2 weeks in Denver. I actually haven't traveled ANYWHERE since we got back from Christmas. It's been SO NICE! However, we are leaving for Denver this Friday, I will be there for a week, but Danny goes back to Utah on Monday. If anyone wants to go to lunch or something LEMME KNOW!
