I have wonderful family that helped donate to her new digs. My aunt gave us a King size bed, but our room is too small for it right now, so we have it in storage. So we went and got the box spring from that... then got a mattress essentially from DI (they make new ones... we didn't buy an old one)... then my mom/sister and aunt donated some old bedding of theirs! It turned out so cute! We just got word too that we might be able to get a headboard and footboard too for free! It saves me time from trying to make one
After Brooke had discovered her new "tampleen"! (She calls her bed a trampoline, I bet you can guess why...)

Bedtime at night has gone SO SMOOTHLY! I was VERY excited! When we lay her down at night, she doesn't get up until morning. It's a beautiful thing... knock on wood I didn't just jinx it.

However, nap time has some hick-ups... hence why we had to take out all her toys. She will get out of bed and it takes about 2-3 times of going in and laying her back down (overall about an hour). Yesterday though, all was quite and I thought she finally went to sleep. However, when I opened the door to check on her, this is what I found...
Yes, she had dumped all her clothes out of her dresser and climbed in it! I told her no, quickly covered my face so she wouldn't see me laughing, closed the door, went and got the camera and then put her back in bed. She didn't have any toys to play with, so I give her credit for being creative... she was smart too in being so quiet!
The only thing that has been kinda a downfall to this whole thing is, Brooke figured out how to open her door. She hasn't opened it luckily to escape from nap time, she only lets herself out in the morning (after playing in her room for an hour). So I suppose that really isn't a downfall... it's a good chance to teach her when it's time to get up and that way she has some "freedom" and doesn't feel locked up in her room.

WHAT a little cutie you have! I can't believe she's big enough to have a big-girl bed, but I guess that's what happens when they grow up. :) You're such a good mom and I seriously love the part where she was playing in her drawer. Pretty funny.
Also, you can get door handle covers fairly cheap at Babies R Us and probably Wal-Mart or Target as well. Just a thought!
Don't you love free stuff!! It looks great, I am so glad it is going well for you. Hope she keeps it up!
So cute! Keep the blogs comin! I love it!
That is so great! I can't believe how big she is getting...then again, I can't believe I have a 6 month old...time flies.
Oh the things they get creative getting into when they're supposed to be sleeping;) She is so cute!
So funny. I love her sitting in the drawer. That's priceless. :) I hope it's still going so well. Sadie did really good for a while and then regressed and I almost put the crib back up but I'm glad I stuck with it. Now she's on the bottom bunk bed and there is no going back! haha.
