Ursala, the cat...

Meet Ursala, the stray cat. She became Brookie's new found love the day after Christmas. We discovered her late Christmas night when I heard some "meowing" at the door. Litterally... at the door! So I went out to chase it away (I do not fancy cats) and IT TRIED TO COME IN MY DOOR! HEAC NO!!! So I finally chased it off and thought that was the end... OOOOH NO!

The NEXT MORNING I was doing Brooke's hair and was having her look out her window to keep her occupied and just mentioned "do you see a kitty?" and YES! THERE WAS THE STUPID CAT PERCHED ON OUR NEIGHBORS WINDOW SILL STARING AT US! So, I tried to be a "fun mom" and opened the window for Brooke to see it. It leaped OFF their window sill and started "pacing" in front of Brooke's , as if it was about to jump into our window! I quickly shut it and went to go about our morning. Well Brooke didn't want to give up that quickly... now this cat got smart and came to the front door...

and entertained my daughter for quite some time. Well me, being my pregnant self, started to have a mood swing. I started to feel pitty for this cat.
I thought "Well maybe it was abandoned and hungry and thirsty". So I decided to get it some water. It gulped it right up!

However, before I could find any suitable food for it, Danny stopped me and told me not to, otherwise it wouldn't ever leave us alone. So, I didn't.... but it still kept coming back! I thought I had already made it do that with my water, but then we realized... THE SOUP!
Yes, soup. A couple days prior, we had dumped some... "infested"... white chicken chili out in our garden. Ah! The chicken and the chilis and EVERYTHING was their food source! WE HAD ALREADY FED IT! Over the next couple days, Ursala brought SEVERAL friends. Danny and I were NOT thrilled by ANY means (well Danny had fun running and scaring them off), but Brooke however LOVED having a real live kitty to "play" with...

I haven't seen them in a couple weeks... I wonder if they finally learned... however I do smell their AWFUL feces from time to time when I step outside my door...
NEXT STEP: Putting Cayenne and normal pepper ALL ACROSS OUR LAWN!
