Our new addition to the family!

Ok, so first things first!  NO, WE'RE NOT PREGNANT!  With that out of the way, I would like to introduce you to our new addition... OPTIMUS PRIME!  On Saturday, we purchased a KMD mc-811 150 cc scooter for Danny to ride around to work and school on, weather permitting of course!  It is the cutest thing on the planet, but not so much that Danny doesn't loose any "manliness"! In the picture there isn't the black flames we have on ours!

I have been putting this off since we got married, but since Danny's dealership started selling them, it was pretty much inevitable, ESPECIALLY when my Dad was here and they wanted one too and got "the bug".  Well, funny thing though, we didn't purchase it from Danny's dealership!  Even, with his discount, it was still about $2000 w/o tax, title and registration.  At the place we got it at in AF, we were OUT THE DOOR W/ AN EXTENDED WARRENTY OF $1270!  The thing will pay for itself in less than 5 months with the amount of gas we would be saving!  It gets 90-100 MPG and costs a MAXIMUM of $8.00 to fill up!  NICE!  Anyways, we're really excited and would love to give any one rides or point them in the right direction of the dealership!  (Oh, p.s. insurance is a maximum of $25/mon for the "premium" coverage!)  We really would recommend it!  However, you do have to get a motorcycle endorsement on your license.)

Just a word of warning. My brother bought one of those no-name brands for about the same price (maybe more actually) and it just fell apart, literally, pieces fell off. I don't know if it's too late, but Honda or Yamaha will be a much better choice.

But congrats! We'll probably do the same at the beginning of next summer.

We did a lot of research on these things before we bought one. Yes, it did come out of China, but the number of complaints vs. the amt they have sold are very few. We have a 12 month warrenty, where everywhere else only is 90 days. This dealership is actually a dealer to a lot of local places and have been in business for 3 years and are expanding out of state. Plus, they have 7 on hand mechanics to fix any sort of problem if we have any.

Yes, Honda and Yamaha are better brands, but you pay for the label mostly. They are pretty much the same. But thanks for the warning! My dad and I are research goo-roo's!

Amy, the dealership is in AF. Let me know if you want more info. Thanks!
