The many sleeping positions of Brookie

Ever since Brookie can roll over we have found her in the strangest sleeping positions.  It's been rather entertaining.  She has done just about everything.  You'll see below.  She will roll all around her crib no matter how we swaddle her or put her down.  We  have found her shoved in the corner, on her tummy, a COMPLETE 180 degrees around her crib, found her laying vertical with her feet up against the side of the crib.  It's quite an adventure to see what she comes up with next.  However, it's good to see that if she's uncomfortable in the position she's in, she can move around until she finds one she likes.  We recently lowered her crib a level, she is pulling herself up on things when she's sitting, so its only a matter of time to where she can get up to a sitting position from laying down.  Better to be safe than sorry.

The funny story behind these pictures is, she was completely laying ON HER FACE when we found her, she stirred a little when we went in to take a picture.  She LOVES sleeping on her side and her tummy now.  She's like her mom!

This incident happened while we were in Denver.  Danny had come down with the flu on Christmas, so to be safe, Brooke and I slept upstairs in my Dad's office for two nights.  When she is in a new place, it takes her a little longer to initially fall asleep and stay asleep.  So, in the middle of the night, she woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep.  So I finally pulled her on the air mattress with me.  I was on my side hugging her and we both went to sleep.  All of the sudden, at 6:00am I woke up and looked next to me and BROOKE WAS GONE!  I sat up and looked on the floor and THERE SHE WAS!  SOUND ASLEEP!!! She had ROLLED OFF THE MATTRESS and got comfortable on the PLASTIC that goes under your rolling office chair.  I was freaking out. I checked to make sure seh was still breathing and felt warm.  She was fine so then on to my second trama attack. Should I wake her?  Should I try to move her? Well I decided to leave her there, since she had slept there that long anyways.  So about 30 minutes of constantly checking on her... I never went back to sleep... She finally lifted her head and looked around with a "how did i get here?" look.  So i picked her up and cuddled her.  She even had pattern from the plastic inlaid in her face.

Then, THE NEXT NIGHT, Danny decided to let her fall asleep on my air mattress since the play pen wasn't doing the trick.  Well after we were playing games for a while and not hearing A PEEP from her, Danny went to check on her.  He opened the door and was letting his eyes adjust to the dark and couldn't see her.  He thought she was just blended in with the sheets.  (My old little mermaid sheets btw).  After his adjusted, he noticed she wasn't on the mattress at ALL!  So he started to open the door more to look for her and all of the sudden it STOPPED only half way open.  She was BEHIND THE DOOR, ASLEEP!!! She had done 2 full 360's off the mattress and behind the door.  She again was asleep on her tummy.  We unfortunately did not get any pictures, but it was HILARIOUS! She didn't even wake up until I picked her up and laid her in the playpen.  She is ONE HEAVY SLEEPER, just like her mommy!

These are just only SOME of the stories of her sleeping adventures.
