my running little girl...
Here are some fun little things about Brooke at 2 years old:-She is 35" tall which puts her in the 90% (woo!)
-She is 27lbs which puts her in the 56%
-She loves to run, swing and go down slides
-She loves all animals, so long as she doesn't hold them, just pet them
-She loves to feed the ducks as well.
-She is obsessed with princesses, however her favorite are Cinderella and Ariel. Although we are starting to love Snow White and Belle.
-Some of my favorite phrases she says are:
"Get back here!"
"Stop it!"
"Shoo!"
"I sorry"
"I lob it!" (i love it)
"Beautiful dress Mommy!"
"So pretty"
"Hello Sugar!" (or "hello angel"
-She has to say hello to baby almost everyday
-She can say prayers most of the time all by herself. She always remembers her Uncle Aaron, and Grandma/Grandpa on their missions.
-She recognizes all pictures of Jesus.
-She loves being outside.
-She loves to help me "drive". (Occasionally, she will sit on my lap while I rearrange the cars in the driveway.)
-She loves to count, but always forgets the number "10"
-She can spell her name. "B-R-O-K-E! BROOKE!"
-She can name all the basic colors but black and brown.
-She LOVES to color on paper. She especially loves her new easel.
-She can name the shapes circle, oval, square, rectangle, triangle, star, diamond, hexagon, crescent and a few others...
-Her favorite songs are Ariel's "Look at this stuff", Cinderella's "Dream is a wish your hear makes" and Edelweiss. She can sing them all by herself too.
-She HATES any kind of meat (unless mixed in her refried beans on a taco)
-She loves cheese, apples, broccoli, any kind of berry and pizza.
-She loves to jump on the trampoline and any bed or couch.
-She gets very concerned any time anyone is crying and is quick to go give them hugs.
-She says Dr. Cornish (her ped) as Dr. Pornish...no matter how hard we try to correct her it doesn't work.
-She loves to brush her teeth and will take any toothbrush she finds.
-She loves any and all shoes and walks quite well in high heels.
-Every morning when she walks up she sticks her fingers under the door and says "good morning! get out!"
-She loves to watch movies on the computer including "Potty Elmo", "Mickey" and "Brookie!" (She loves to watch movies of herself).
-She loves to sit and watch the picture screen saver and is really good about naming everyone that comes up.
-She can name all 15 (immediate) Aunts and Uncles and all (immediate) 21 cousins and then some! She is finally not afraid to tell Nate and David to "shoo!"
-She is starting to learn her ABC's and gets fuzzy after G.
-Everytime either me or Danny walk in the room she says "HELLO DADDY!" or "HELLO MOMMY!" even if we just walked out.
-She loves going to Daddy's school and riding on the school bus.
-She is a total performer and gets embarrassed when you laugh at her.
-She loves to dance and listen to music. Her favorite song to dance to is "Girlfriend" by Avril.
-She loves, loves, LOVES books! She will sit and read to herself for a while and will constantly ask me to read to her. She would rather read a book than watch a movie.
-She will fake throw up in a container or toilet.
-She loves watching big trucks go the house or in the car. She loves hearing the train too.
-She loves giving her little friends and cousins hugs.
-We are almost ready to potty train. She will be getting some big girl panties as soon as things slow down a bit and Mommy can focus on it.
-She can talk very well and most people can understand everything she says. I love being able to communicate with her.
-She loves to help mommy clean, cook and everything in between.
-She knows what she wants and won't accept anything less.
-She is VERY independent and gets mad if you help her with something she wants to do.
There are tons of other things I love about my little "b", but for lack of boredom for you and fear of coming across as bragging, I'll restrain. ;)
I love you Princess! I know you're going to be a great big sister and wonderful helper.
