Grandma & Grandpa are going on a mission!

Mom and Dad Kimball officially started their mission on March 8, 2010 when they entered the MTC for a week. The week prior was full of family get togethers, pictures and lots of food and laughter. For the first time since Danny and I had been married just the adults went out to dinner! We were missing Sean (out of town) and Laura and Scott (had other plans). We all went to the Olive Garden and then had dessert at Frozen Yogurt Junction. It was so fun.
This was the night Mom and Dad were officially set apart as missionaries.
Since we live a couple minutes from the MTC (Missionary Training Center), one night Mom and Dad came over for dinner! It was so nice and so fun. This is Brooke reading "Preach My Gospel" with Grandpa. I wasn't able to upload another picture of Dad taking a nap on the couch.
Since Mom and Dad will be gone for 18 months. They will unfortunately miss Danny's graduation (and baby #2). So luckily, we had picked up his cap and gown the week before. So we decided to get pictures of them in his cap and gown with their missionary tags on. So fun!
Hugging the future graduate!
Like Father, Like Son.
This is when they were leaving our house and gave Brooke a "group hug". She LOVES doing group hugs with Grandma and Grandpa.
They officially left on Monday, March 15. We had a final family dinner and hugs the night before since they had to be to the airport @ 6:00am. We had lots of hugs and tears and all woke up with "crying hangovers". We love you and miss you Mom and Dad! Thanks for serving!

So bittersweet. It's so great, but then so sad to say goodbye, especially with the baby coming and all. But good for them!
