Dan's new job!!!

Dan started his new job in the beginning of November. It is the job he has been after since March 2010. My mom's friend's son-in-law (confusing I know) works for this company and recommended Dan. He finally got a call for an interview in the beginning of June. His first interview was the day before his birthday. Second interview was in August. Finally, his third interview (with the partner of the company) was in October. He finally was hired right before Halloween and started in November.

He loves his job. He will be starting his 3rd assignment on Monday with them. They work out their clients office, not the company's. So far he has worked in Broomfield, and downtown. We prefer the downtown location, but we get paid more when he works in Broomfield. (They repay us for gas from their office to the clients office.)

This company is AMAZING! I am amazed with how well they treat their employees and how nice the company is. It is a very young company. They have about 32 employees, only a handful are above 30. The rest are our age. Only 5 people IN THE COMPANY are married and only 2 other people have kids. We currently are tied for 1st in having the most. I'm pretty sure the other couple is done too, so we will be one of the youngest with the most kids. lol...

This was Dan's first day of work. Brooke (and Mommy) got very use to having Daddy around a LOT and so we were trying to prepare Brookie for his absence. She actually did very well. I think Mommy missed him the most though!

{Getting something we hadn't received in 10 months... HIS FIRST PAYCHECK!!! WOO!}

Dan joined right at the perfect time.. right before the company Christmas party! I have to say I was really excited to go. I was way nervous though. The night ended up being really fun though.

It was a themed party of "The Black & White Roaring 20's". We were told we could dress up, but Dan said he wouldn't talk to me if I did... grrr... So we just dressed up in our semi-formal wear (haven't done that since HS Homecoming...) and went out for a night on the town!
{All dressed up, ready to go out for a night of fun!!!}
The cocktail hour and dinner was held at the Denver Art Museums restaurant called "Palettes". It was really nice and yummy. The first hour was "cocktail hour", Dan and I stuck with our Diet Cokes and mingled and met a bunch of his co-workers. It was fun. Then we sat down to dinner and they did a 3 course meal and announced a bunch awards. I'm proud to say my husband won "Most Likely to Survive a Zombie Attack". How he won that or why... we have no idea. After dinner, they brought in a 7 piece band and a photo booth... (picture below). More drinks were served (I got a Shirley Temple this time...) and danced the night away.

After the band finished up (and after the whole company RAPPED "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" Song (so funny!). They announced there was an AFTER-PARTY at a bar down the street and they had reserved the VIP room... Dan and I decided we should probably turn in and didn't go.

Overall, we had such a fun time and we LOVE the company and the co-workers. (Side note: Dan's company was named in the top five best small companies to work for in the nation!) About a week or so after the party, they had a company meeting at a restaurant downtown, in the game room. After their 2011 preview meeting was over, they invited friends and spouses to come join the fun. It was awesome. They had appetizers and quarters galore to play all sorts of games. They are a lot of fun and I love that Dan got his "dream job".

They are going to be hiring more employees, so if anyone is interested... let Dan know! Like I said, they're an awesome company!
