Old Friends!!!

There are only a handful of people I still stay in contact with from high school. Two of them came to back to Colorado recently to visit. They were nice enough to find time to come over for breakfast or go out to dinner with us. Unfortunately they missed each other by only a week. Otherwise that reunion of all 3 of us would have been awesome...maybe next time.

This is Mike. One of my best friends in high school my Junior and Senior year. He married Stephanie and I had yet to meet her since they live in Arizona. We became great "pen pals" as we called it, over Facebook, but it was so fun to finally meet her in person! They are so cute together! I think it's our turn to go down to AZ to go see them on their turf now! They came over for our great past time of Belgian Waffles and Buttermilk Syrup... so yummy.

This is Alex. One of my greatest friends all four years of high school. Both him and Mike were always in my group for dances, although our dates seemed to always change, we were always together. He has been dating Alyson for sometime off and on. She is so cute and so fun. She is perfect for Alex. They're so cute together. This was my first time meeting her too. We went out to dinner and then came back to my house b/c my Mom loves Alex too and had to meet the girl he has told us about for at least a couple years. Alex serves in the Air Force and was injured by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan in January 2009 and was awarded the purple heart. You can read a story on him here and here. We're so happy he's healthy and happy now. We're excited to hopefully see some sort of announcement from them soon! We need an excuse to go to Florida or DC where they live. ;)

It's so fun to see them and catch up. Hopefully, it won't be as long in-between visits with them.
